Andrew Howard



Andrew has nearly 15 years of experience in designing, delivering, analysing, and reporting on community engagement projects of all scales. He has worked as a senior consultant for Australia's largest specialist community engagement consultancy. He also held various Engagement Lead roles within various state government department and agencies, and most recently focused on engagement data and reporting in local government.

From wide-ranging consultations on national legislation, and new state policies or initiatives, to council deliberative processes and local infrastructure projects, Andrew understands two critical elements. First, community efforts must be respected and valued. Second, project teams must be empowered to make the most of participant contributions. These elements truly come together in the data analysis and reporting phase of engagement. Andrew's strength lies in blending community narratives with project data, ensuring participants see their input clearly reflected in reports. His reports are easy to understand for both participants and project teams alike, thanks to clear and concise writing, thoughtful formatting, and a keen eye for design.

Andrew also enjoys providing direct project support and training staff to improve their engagement processes, especially in shaping questions, data collection, analysis, formatting, and writing. Ultimately, Andrew aims for project teams to confidently collaborate with communities, and for communities to see value in participating in decision-making.

Elly is a highly proficient community engagement professional with 15 years of experience across private, non-profit, and government sectors. She's skillfully managed large consultation projects, working with diverse groups from metropolitan to regional communities, all levels of government, and various industries. Elly excels at developing strategic engagement processes, delivering strong stakeholder communications, and simplifying complex information for public discussion. She consistently delivers effective in-person and online engagement.

Elly loves working on projects that inform complex policies, and initiatives that directly benefit communities. Growing up in regional Victoria, she has a unique understanding of engagement dynamics in country areas. She combines her expertise in project management, community engagement, and strategic planning with practical skills like budget management and marketing. Elly is passionate about using data for clear communication, bringing an eye for design and innovation to every deliverable. Her proficiency in digital communications further strengthens her results-oriented approach to community development.
